Position: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT)
Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hour
Service Settings: In-home, clinic, and community-based services
Service Area: Carroll County and surrounding countiesPosition Summary
The RBT/BT will work directly with children and adolescents receiving ABA services under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT/BT will implement individualized treatment plans, collect accurate data, teach targeted skills, support behavior reduction programs, and communicate professionally with the clinical team and families.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, is patient and compassionate, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental and behavioral needs.
Responsibilities
Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in home, clinic, and community settings.
Implement individualized treatment programs developed by the supervising BCBA.
Teach communication, social, daily living, academic, play, and other functional skills.
Implement behavior-reduction and skill-acquisition procedures as directed by the BCBA.
Collect and record accurate, objective data throughout each session.
Maintain professional and appropriate interactions with clients and their families.
Follow all treatment protocols, safety procedures, and company policies.
Participate in ongoing training and clinical supervision.
Communicate client progress, concerns, and relevant observations to the supervising BCBA.
Maintain confidentiality and protect client privacy at all times.
Complete session documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain a professional, dependable, and positive attitude.
Collaborate with BCBAs, caregivers, teachers, and other members of the client's care team as appropriate.
Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to client homes and other service locations.
Ability to work effectively with children and families.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and implement treatment procedures consistently.
Preferred:
Current RBT certification.
Previous experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities.
Experience in ABA, special education, childcare, behavioral health, or a related field.
For applicants who are not currently RBT certified: We are open to individuals who are interested in beginning a career in ABA and are willing to complete the requirements necessary to become an RBT.
